Jordan Brand and Footaction have partnered to open the first Jordan Brand store called, Flight 23. The store's going to be located in Midtown Manhattan on 34th St., near Madison Square Garden. The store is still under construction as of now and it hasn't been said what day doors will open. However, the store will be the first of many planned Jordan Brand stores throughout the United States. I expect that after the launch of this Manhattan store, more will begin to open up in major cities within the country such as LA, Chicago, and Miami; especially if NBA teams are present in the city. This is a big move for MJ and Jordan Brand, to be starting a chain of stores and not to mention, Jordan-product only stores at that. I think this is a good decision though, maybe with the opening of Jordan stores it can help in decreasing release day sneaker violence regarding limited Jordan Retros. In the past few years, the number of Jordan release sneaker violence has steadily increased and gotten out of hand, so maybe this is Jordan Brand's solution; opening chain stores which could lead to increased production of Jordan Retros? Just my opinion.
